VENUE
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Nusa Dua - Bali
A large 5* diamond star hotel (consist of four village's) nestled in the exclusive resort area of Nusa Dua, situated amidst lush tropical gardens emulating a summer palace of Balinese royalty. Each Balinese- inspired guest rooms have its own private balcony overlooking out to the sea or tropical gardens.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the Conference is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
BADGES
All participants and exhibitors are kindly requested to wear their badges throughout the meeting in order to be admitted to the lecture halls and other scheduled activities.

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
The organiser is not able to take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the meeting. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

PASSPORT & VISA
All visitors to Indonesia must possess passport which is valid for at least 6 months. Participants are requested to check with the Indonesian embassies / consulate in their home country or with their travel agency for visa requirements. It is the responsible of the participants to obtain a visa if required.
The Indonesian government grant visas on arrival (VoA) to the following countries only: Austria, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Maldives, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States.
The Free Visa Facility (with max. length of stay: 30 days) will be issued to the citizens of the following countries: Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macao, Morocco, Chile, and Peru.
AIRPORT INFORMATION
Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport is approximately 20 minutes drive to the congress venue. Meter taxi and other means of transport are available.
CLIMATE
Bali has a tropical climate appropriate to its proximity to the equator with year-round temperatures averaging 31° C. High humidity can be expected during wet season between the months of October - April. While the dry season between the months of May - September is expected to have lower humidity. During wet season, daily rain and quiet overcast days with the most rain recorded between December - February. Occasionally rainfall can also be expected during the dry season but usually at night or very early morning. June - August there is usually a very refreshing cool breeze all day long. The central mountain area is typically cooler than the lower coastal areas mainly especially at night.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Business lunches and coffee/tea during breaks (as indicated in the programme), are included in the registration fee.
EXTERNAL MEETINGS
The APASL 4th STC does not allow, nor endorse, any meeting that is organized during its Annual Meeting, including 3 days before and after the actual Meeting dates. This policy has been implemented by APASL 4th STC
PRESS GUIDELINES
- Press Registration
Press may register for the APASL 4th STC free of charge; however proper press
credentials are required.
- Photographs, Audio and Video Recording
Photographs as well as audio and video recordings are not permitted at the 4th STC
official meeting sessions. This regulation does not apply to industry sponsored satellite
symposia. Only the official APASL 4th STC photographer may take photographs in the halls.
CUSTOM
Shirt sleeves and cotton clothing are recommended. Smart casual clothing is acceptable in most places.
CURRENCY
The currency unit in Indonesia is Rupiah (IDR. / Rp.). Most international credit cards are acceptable for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. 10% of tax charges and 10% of service charges is applicable in most hotels and restaurants. Exchange offices and ATM machines are available throughout the city and at the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. Banks are open 5(five) days a week from Monday to Friday with an hour closed for lunch. Tipping is not common but optional.
EXHIBITION
A commercial and industrial exhibition will take place within the framework of the Meeting.
