Welcome Message from the Chairman:

Dear Colleagues & Friends,

It is a great pleasure and honor to extend our cordial invitation for you to attend the 4th APASL Single Topic Conference 2008 on Viral Related HCC with the theme : "Emergence of New Ethiopathogenesis, Diagnosis and Therapeutic Modalities" scheduled to be held in the beautiful tropical island of Bali on December 5 - 7, 2008.

The theme reflects the need for us in the region to find the better ways in responding to the challenges we are all facing in the field of Hepatology .We are aiming to have a comprehensive scientific program involving variety of prominent experts from Asia Pacific and Indonesia where we can share our experiences and update our skills and knowledge's in the various aspects of Hepatology especially in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

The scientific program is designed to meet the high standard of scientific needs as well as to allow the participants to enjoy the beauty of Bali, the islands of gods. There will be a special APASL Working Group Meeting on HCC and its is expected to generate the first APASL Consensus on HCC. We are inviting all colleagues and friends to submit abstract and any scientific works in the liver diseases to APASL STC on HCC 2008. Major programs will include : Plenary lectures, Meet the Experts session, Symposia, Con & Pro debate Session, Free Papers, Poster session and special Awards will be given to the best selected scientific research paper.

Bali is selected as the venue due to its unique and exotic tropical paradise supported with the interesting art and cultures that can not be found elsewhere. Recently Bali is the venue for the United Nation Climate Changes Conference on December 2007. Bali is one the world's tourist best destination and capable to offer you a superb hospitality to all delegates in the coming APASL STC on HCC 2008.

We do hope also the future perspectives of many issues in hepatology problem will be explored. So please kindly mark your calendar for the next APASL STC on HCC in Bali, December 2008. We look forward to seeing you in beautiful island of Bali for the APASL STC on HCC in Bali, November 2008
